one of my favorite people: parsa barani

A part of the reason as to why this website even exists in the first place is because of him. We were having a conversation one day when he mentioned I should make a blog post/website, and I want to talk about him today.

I’ve been close friends with this guy ever since “maternelle”, which is the year before the first year of primary.

For all the people that know him personally, he’s genuinely a gentle giant. Not even trying to be weird, but that’s the best way to describe him. We’ve shared deep conversations and I’m happy that he was one of the first people on my podcast series on my channel that I plan on reviving once I come back from the Philippines. There are moments in life where I talk to him almost every day, and others where I don’t see, nor hear from him for weeks. Regardless of how often we speak, he’s a person I genuinely wish nothing but the best for.

Although the only times I do see/talk to him, we’re just at the gym or playing Overwatch, which isn’t really the most fertile environment for a conversation of depth, it’s a pleasure to be around him. He’s genuinely one of the funniest people I know, and one of the brightest too. I wonder if he himself knows how valuable his mind is. We could go from talking about Dostoevsky and Kafka’s literature, to Thomas Hobbes’ state of nature, to our Kpop biases.

This guy is also very injury prone for some reason, one oddly performed tricep pushdown rep and this guy’s elbow is out for months and requires surgery. I hope he gets better. I miss seeing him on days other than leg day.
